What are the specifications in dimensions of a padel court vs. a tennis court?

 The standard measurements for a double padel court are 10 metres wide by 20 metres long. 

The size of a single court for playing one on one is 6 metres wide by 20 metres long. 

And the measurements for padel courts for children are 5 metres wide by 10 metres long, these courts are recommended for children up to the age of 6 years old. 

In comparison, the tennis court is bigger than a padel court, the measurements in tennis are 23.77m x 10.97m wide. This means that you can fit more padel courts than tennis courts in a small space and therefore increase the profitability of your club.

What are the advantages of having a padel court instead of any other sports facility?

• Padel is a very social game, suitable for people of all ages, gender and physical conditions. It’s easier to learn than tennis and other racquet sports.
• Padel courts take up less space than tennis ones and much less than football pitches or basketball halls.

How do you know if it is more profitable to have a padel court than a tennis court or any other facility?

The average duration of a padel match is 90 minutes, although the players who are going to enjoy themselves can rent the court perfectly well for 2 hours. 

Prices to rent  a court in Europe for 1,5h can vary from 8 to 20€ per person, depending on the location. If it’s  occupied 4,5h per day ( just 3 sessions) this mean that each court can make at least from 2.880€ to 7.800€ per month.

As a curious fact, in consolidated padel centres with a large number of players, this occupancy can reach 80%.
